The sugar content in 100% fruit juices is similar to the fruits from which they are derived.
At the moderate intakes suggested in dietary guidelines, 100% fruit juices are not a significant contributor to high sugar intakes.[1] It is worth noting that South African law does not permit the natural sugar composition of 100% juices to be artificially increased or reduced.
