Tucked away in a crescent of mountains at the Southern tip of Africa, lies a beautiful fertile valley called Ceres. Ceres is a town with 46,251 inhabitants in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. It is a mere 150km or 90-minute drive from Cape Town. Its close proximity to the harbour facilitates exports of the well-known Ceres juices to various parts of the world.
This valley was named after “Ceres”, the ancient Roman goddess of fruitfulness. Here, the fruit grows so big, sweet and juicy that you’d think it was magic… and maybe it is.
